A few of my favorite books that inspire awakening.

TRUE AND FALSE MAGIC
by Phil Stutz

I love Phil Stutz's no-nonsense approach to recognizing the parts of yourself that are getting in your way. Instead of just talking about your problems forever, he gives you actual "tools". The book teaches you how to face fear head-on, deal with people who annoy you, speak with confidence, and break out of negative thought spirals. Plus, its short and he's so funny and Irreverent ... you're gonna find yourself laughing.

DARING GREATLY
By Brené Brown

"Courage starts with showing up and letting ourselves be seen." If you're ready to step out of hiding parts of yourself and playing small, this book is like having a straight-talking friend call you out on your BS in the most loving way possible. Brené breaks down why vulnerability isn't weakness but actually the path to more authentic relationships and a fuller life - without getting preachy or overly academic about it.

FREQUENCY
By PENNY PIERCE

Penny asserts that our own personal vibration communicates who we are and helps shape our reality, which completely aligns with my work. It isn't the easiest read but if you want to really dig in on human consciousness and learning vibrational awareness this is a fabulous book! I liked the paperback so that I could annotate...it's that kind of read.

THE CREATIVE ACT:A WAY OF BEING
by Rick Ruben

Rick Rubin takes creativity into the spiritual realm. He talks about how getting out of your own way connects you to something much bigger, and to leave ego at the door. So, if you tend to think things to death and find yourself stuck and not getting your ideas out there, this will be very inspirational to you. Plus his voice is AMAZING, I recommend getting the audio book for this one.

A NEW EARTH
by Eckhart Tolle

Eckhart writes about the ego and its role in our life (mind blowing) and shows us how to sink beneath the endless stream of thoughts into that spacious awareness where our true self resides. This book was first published in 2005 but Oprah just selected it for her 2025 Book Club for the second time because its message is more vital now than ever - a practical guide to finding peace in a world that desperately needs it.

UNTAMED
By Glennon Doyle

Here's a little taste of Glennon's POV: "When a woman finally learns that pleasing the world is impossible, she becomes free to learn how to please herself." Glennon calls out all the ways we cage ourselves trying to be "good women" instead of being fully alive. If you're tired of shrinking yourself to fit into other people's expectations or feeling like you've lost touch with what YOU actually want, this book is a total game-changer.

ON OUR BEST BEHAVIOR
By Elise Loehnen

Ever wonder why we apologize for taking up space? Elise nails it. She shows how the Seven Deadly Sins have been used to keep women small - we beat ourselves up for resting (sloth), ignore our hunger (gluttony), and squash our anger (wrath) even when it's totally justified! It's not just culture telling me to be smaller and quieter - it goes back centuries. If you're tired of feeling like you need to earn the right to take up space in the world, this book will help you see the BS for what it is. Really empowering for any woman trying to break free from the "good girl" trap.

YOUR RADIANT SOUL
By Prune Harris

If you're curious about energy work but don't want the woo-woo overload, this book hits just right. Prune is a great teacher and does a brilliant job describing the human energy system in a way that's actually understandable. This is a great reference book for your bookshelf!

SIGNS
By Lauren Lynne Jackson

I recommend this book all the time to those who have lost a loved one. Having lost both my mom and my sister, this book brings so much comfort in knowing we can still communicate with our loved ones on the other side - and we don't need to hire a psychic to do it! Laura Lynne shows how our loved ones send us personalized signs that are way too specific to be coincidences. Your going to be super inspired by the stories. This is such a healing read!

ENERGY MEDICINE
By Jill Blakeway

If you're skeptical but open to energy healing, this book hits that perfect sweet spot between science and experience. She takes you around the world to meet both scientists in labs and healers in the field, with case studies that will probably blow your mind. I love that she cuts through the woo-woo with her down-to-earth style and sense of humor, never losing sight of the evidence. Perfect for the curious who want real answers about what energy medicine actually is (and isn't).

BRAIDING SWEETGRASS
By Robin Wall Kimmerer

If you're feeling broken, disconnected, or just plain tired, this book will show you how stepping outside and putting your hands in the soil can be the medicine you've been searching for.

Plus, she's Potawatami Indian (same as me!) . . . and weaves indigenous wisdom with scientific knowledge in a way that reminds us we're not separate from nature but part of it. I've read it like 6x!
